Boëllmann, Léon Ernest Composers Composition Music


French Romantic period composer Léon Ernest Boëllmann (1862-1897) died early, yet bid for musical immortality with the Toccata from the Suite Gothique, a favorite of organists. Other organ works have also remained popular, as has his Symphonic Variations for cello and orchestra.
