Bohème, La Individual Operas Opera Styles


La Bohème ("The Bohemians") is the title of two different operas, one by Ruggero Leoncavallo and the other (more famous) by Giacomo Puccini. Both are based on Henri Murger's true-to-life tale, the Scènes de la vie de bohème, ("Scenes of Bohemian Life").
