Mononucleosis Conditions and Diseases Health
Infectious mononucleosis ( also called glandular fever, mono, or kissing disease ) is a common disease caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. It is most common in people between the ages of 15 and 25. There is no treatment for mono and the symptoms eventually go away. Rest, drink plenty of fluids, and gargle with salt water for a sore throat. To avoid damage to the spleen, don't exercise until the doctor approves.
