Countisbury Devon England United Kingdom


Countisbury is the most north eastern parish within North Devon District, and is within the Exmoor National Park.  It is administered as a combined civil parish within Brendon, stretching from Lynmouth along the north coast, including Sillery Sands, Foreland Point, Countisbury Cove, up to Old Burrow Hill, the County Gate with North West Somerset, down to the boundary with Oare, and back to Brendon.  The parish is serviced by the main road, A39, which connects Somerset and Lynmouth, passing through the village of Countisbury, comprising a pub and church, surrounded by National Trust property.  A small road leads off to the hamlet of Wilsham, before heading south to Brendon.
