Intermediate Units K-12 Education Pennsylvania


Pennsylvania's 29 Intermediate Units are regional education service agencies charged with providing programs and services to public, private and non-public (religious) schools. All Intermediate Units provide curriculum and instructional support, professional development, technology services and operate educational programs such as special and alternative education on a regional basis. Intermediate Units are governed by boards of directors composed of school board members from member school districts. Each Intermediate Unit is led by an Executive Director. Intermediate Units are supported by member school districts, state funds and state and federal grants.
