Library Systems Public Libraries Arts and Entertainment

A Public Library System (PLS) works with their member libraries to do things the libraries need, but could not do as effectively or efficiently for themselves. Funded by the state, they take on projects too costly or complex for cities and counties acting alone, and coordinate and supplement library resources and services beyond those already provided at the local and county levels. Although almost every Public Library in Wisconsin belongs to one of the 17 Public Library Systems, A PLS is not a library.
